Round up of Upcoming Alumni Meets

Dear All

XLRI Summer Alumni Meets, 2011 have been scheduled in the month of May. The batch of 2010-2012 is working really hard to make them a grand success, much bigger and magnificient than the last year.

Schedule for the meet:

Please spread the word.

City	Date	Venue
Hyderabad	7th May	Boulder Hills, Gachibowli, Hyderabad
Delhi	14th May	The Parkland Retreat, Main Chhatarpur Mandir Road, Satbari, New Delhi
Chennai	21st May	Railway Officer's Club, Sterling Road
Mumbai	21st May	Mayfair Banquet Hall, Worli, Mumbai
Bangalore	28th May	The Royal Orchid

Kolkata

21st May

Floatel 9/10, Kolkata jetty, Opp. SBI HQ, Strand Road, Kolkata.

However, they are really struggling with the sponsorship and I am afraid they might have to cancel a few venues due to lack of liquidity. The Summer Meets last year were a great success due to the support shown by the XLers in arranging sponsorship. I organized the meet last year and I know how tough it is for the organizing team while managing their internships.

On behalf of the organizing team, I request you to look into the matter and contact the undersigned if you wish to sponsor.

XL Kolkata Alumni Meet: Pics/ Memories of June 2nd

Hello folks!

That was a wonderful evening we had on 2nd... so just to thank the organising team - the high enthu "fucchas' from 08 batch, and the local alumni who really helped them, guided them, took ownership of the meet to make the event happen - thanks to you all... and hope to see XL Kolkata Chapter taking off beyond just the Summer meets

The benchmark for future meets, in any case, has gone up considerably....

and thanks also to all of you who could make it to the cruise. It was great to connect again and experience the "spirit"...

I have uploaded some Pics that I had taken that evening... and also those which Mr Kaustuv Bhadra (Group Business Director, Mudra) shared ...(the better resolution ones are his;). You can view them here:

Invite to Alumni Meets.. specifically Kolkata on 2nd June

Hello friends!

(from xlJamshedpur and xlCalcutta groups... and to those marked in bcc from Ranchi, Patna, and Bhubneshwar)

This evening, after meeting Mr Prem Sagar and Mr Dicky Mody, I realised that my last mail, apparently, did not reach you.... so here goes again...

I am pasting the schedule/date/ venue of the alumni meets (two of which- in Mumbai and Chennai - must be getting over by now)...but if you are around the other places - Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, - and can join them on 26th - that will be great.

More specifically, I am writing to invite you - on behalf of the Kolkata Alumni Chapter, and the interning students who are organising the meet - for the Kolkata Alumni Meet on 2nd June... from what I undersand, this will be an experience of a life time... an alumni meet on a luxury cruise-liner on Hoogly

You can board at 6:30pm or 8:00pm from the Millenium Jetty

and

can board off at 10:30pm or 12:30 (am/pm)

But please do try to join us there.... hope to meet you on the cruise

ciao

ps: the "damages" - inclusive of the cruise, dinner and drinks - will depend on the sponsorships...but I can assure you, that they will be within - less than - Rs 500/-... please get in touch with the contacts below for any other info:

The Summer Interns of the 08 batch are settling down and planning to organise meets at:

Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, NCR...

...hopefully elsewhere also.

Am sending this mail to seek your help and support to make the alumni meets a memorable event for all of us... (after all, it is "Alumni" Meet after all - not "Summer Intern"'s meet for alumni)

Sitting on this side of Bistupur, I have connected them to some of the alumni in these cities who have helped/ supported them earlier..

as of now, to the best of my knowledge:

- in Mumbai, they are meeting some alumni on Saturday at at Cafe CoffeeDay at Carter Road at 6pm on Saturday April 21st

- in Blore, they are meeting the Blore Chapter team on Monday April 24th (venue and time to be decided soon)

- in Chennai, most likely a meeting will happen next week (my interpretation of PNS' mail to them)

so folks!.. let's get going... if you are a game to help them to do a good job (with organising, sponsorship, ideas, ... or whatever).. these are the people in your place you can contact (Alphbetically) - there are more of them, I am only pasting the numbers of those which I have:
